Mobile Technology Trends for 2021

It is no surprise that the world is moving deep into mobile. Hence, it is essential for every business regardless of industry should be updated with new mobile trends. But with so many sources of information, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest trends. Here are five top trends in mobile technologies for 2021.

1. Android Instant Apps

You have already come across Android instant apps. These are native apps that need no installation and run instantly.

With Android apps, a user can run an app and test without any downloading. This works on the latest Android devices. It is also supported by devices from Android 5.0 to Android 8.0 and API level 21 to API level 26.

Having an Instant app will make it easier for users to try out your app. If you are able to provide them a smooth experience, there is a high probability that they would install it.

Currently, this feature is restricted for Android devices.

2. Mobile Security

As in 2020, there would be increased priority over security to protect user information and ensure that all transactions are safe. This is especially important for payment apps. With the increased incidence of theft and fraud, it is no surprise that users are skeptical about payment apps and hence mobile app development companies in UAE will come up with newer robust ways of security.

3. Mobile Apps for Small Businesses

Mobile apps are no longer used by giant companies alone. Small businesses too, find needs in developing applications for their customers. In 2020, around 50 percent of small businesses had a mobile app or were planning to have one. This number is definitely going to rise once more businesses realize the potential of possessing a mobile app. If you are a company providing enterprise application services this is an area of opportunity.

Globally there is an increase of 13.5% in-app downloads of which Apple App store saw an increase of 6.7% and 16.7% increase in Google Play Store, respectively. There is no evidence to indicate that this trend will slow down in 2021.
